💚 Dumulmeori💚

Dumulmeori literally means 'two water area,'
and refers to the place where Bukhangang River and Namhangang River meet.
It likes an island, similar with a nature park. It has natural beauty.

One of attractions at this site is the three 400-year-old Zelkova trees that appear as one giant tree.
The dock for an ancient-style ferry and weeping willows add to the rustic beauty of this area.

But we're watching Amazing Winter View!
It's one of the amazing view of Korea for sure!!

Dumulmeori remains as a popular site for shooting Korean TV dramas,
movies, commercials, wedding pictures as well as nature pictures.
💚Yongmunsa Temple💚

It was built during the Silla Kingdom and reconstructed during the reign of King Sejong of the Joseon dynasty. It was badly damaged during the Korean War, and so it was restored once again. Now it consists of three buildings: the main hall, Daeungjeon Hall, and the bell tower.

This temple is special because it is home to the largest ginkgo tree in Asia. The 1,100 years old tree measures 60 meters in height and 14 meters in circumference, and it has been designated and protected as a Natural Monument.

Due to its beauty, it was featured in many kpop videos and kdramas.
💚 Yongmun Millenial Market💚

Yongmun Millennium Market (on every 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th day of a month)

Yongmun Millennium Market sells clean and eco-friendly wild edible greens grown in high mountains. It is said that the wild edible greens grown around Yongmun mountain are so clean and eco-friendly that in ancient times they had been offered to kings. In this sense, the county has been hosting wild edible greens festival in May every year. Moreover, a unique feature of this market is that it’s open only 5 days a month: every 5th, 10th,15th, 20th and 25th of the month.

Yongmun Millenium Market has now become a new shopping attraction, not only for its services, but also because consumers can enjoy a ride along the rail bike and admire the beauty of the Yongmun mountain.
💚 Kim Yeongjun Najeon Lacquer Art Museum💚

Kim Yeongjun is a lacquer artist that uses Najeon (mother-of-pearl inlay) techniques. Kim wanted to revive the art of najeon chilgi. Najeon is a traditional Korean decorative craft that involves embedding pieces of mother-of-pearl into lacquer.

Najeon chilgi (Najeon Lacquer) refers to both lacquerware inlaid with diverse shapes made from the shells of abalone, conch, and the like, as well as the decorative design skills themselves.

He received worldwide recognition, having crafted even an Xbox console inlaid with mother-of-pearl, an iPhone case, and even a chair for Pope Francis.
💚 Semiwon Gardens💚
Semiwon is a botanical garden solely focused on lotus flowers.

The garden houses the world’s only museum dedicated to lotus flowers in daily living, cooking, and writing.
The 180,000 square-meter park consists of six ponds through which water is filtered and purified before flowing back into the Hangang River.

The park is most beautiful in summer when the lotus flowers are in full bloom.
Throughout the year, the gardens are also decorated with seasonal flower.

In July 2014, it was designated as National Cultural Heritage.
In 1950, during the Korean War, the Jipyeong Jujo Brewery was used as a command post for the UN troops.
💚 Jipyeong Righteous Army & Chipyong-Ni Battle Memorial💚

Jipyeong-ri holds historical significance as a crucial location for the righteous army that resisted Japanese colonial rule and played a pivotal role in the Korean War.

Following the January 4th retreat in 1951, the allied forces of the U.S. and France effectively repelled the Chinese communist military's large-scale offensive, employing a human-wave attack at Jipyeong-ri.
