๐ญ Andong Hahoe Village ๐ญ
Hahoe Village is one of the most famous folk villages in Korea!

Surrounded by the Nakdonggang River, the village is home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan,
which still makes up 70 percent of the villagers. The village became even more famous after Queen Elizabeth of England
visited on April 21, 1999, and President George H. Bush of the U.S.A. in 2005.

The village has many cultural treasures and important cultural materials,
earning the village the designation of National Folklore Cultural Heritage in 1984.
Hahoe Masks, a National Treasure, is also an important feature of the village.

๐ Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy ๐

Before it became a Confucian academy, Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy was originally located in
Pungsang-hyeon under the name Pungakseodang School, which was used as an educational institution.
It was moved to its current location in Byeongsan by Yu Seong-nyong, penname Seoae, a well-respected Confucian scholar, in 1572.

After the passing of Yu Seong-nyong in 1607, many of his followers and other renowned scholars commemorated
the Confucian scholar by building Jondeoksa Shrine to enshrine his ancestral tablet in 1613,
followed by the renaming of the institution to Byeongsanseowon in 1614.

In 1863, Byeongsanseowon was recognized by the king to receive support as a private Confucian academy.
๐ Woryeonggyo Bridge ๐
Woryeonggyo Brige is 387m long and 3.6m wide, making it the longest wooden-fenced pedestrian bridge in Korea.
At the middle of the bridge stands the Wolyeong-jeong Pavilion.

The view of Woryeonggyo Bridge with the moon's reflection in the Nakdonggang River is a beautiful sight.

Woryeonggyo Bridge harbors a tragic yet beautiful legend about a wife who made a pair of mituri (hemp shoes)
out of her hair in heartfelt yearning and condolence for her late husband. In commemoration of her pure and noble love,
the bridge was designed in the style of mituri.
