๐ด Lunch in Gimcheon ๐ด
Gimcheon is in the North Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, situated on a major land transport route between Seoul and Busan.
Gimcheon was famous for its three mountains (Geumo, Daedeok, Hwangak) and two rivers (Gamcheon, Jikjicheon) in ancient times.
During the Chosun Dynasty, Gimcheon had one of the five largest markets in the region.
We will be parking the bus at the edge of the three tour sites and walking to all the destinations.
Outside the parks, there will be multiple restaurant options to choose from for lunch.

๐ผ Jikji Culture Park ๐ผ
Jikji Cultural Park is right outside the entrance to Jikji Temple and includes three plazas,
a 17m waterfall, 10 childrenโs rides, a hiking trail, nine unique pavilions and pergolas, and more!

There are also outdoor stages for cultural performances and
a circular fountain in the middle of the park for musical fountain shows.

๐ชท Jikjisa Temple ๐ชท

Jikjisa Temple, located at the foot of Hwangaksan Mountain in Gimcheon,
was constructed in 418 during the second year of Silla Kingdom King Nulji's reign.
This temple is in perfect harmony with the nearby valley and pine forest.

The temple grounds include Birojeon Hall (also known as Cheonbuljeon Hall),
in which approximately 1,000 Buddha statues are enshrined, along with a thousand-year-old arrowroot.

The temple grounds also include Iljumun Gate, Daeungjeon Hall,
and a 1.63 meter-tall Seated Stone Buddhist Statue (Treasure No. 319) from the Unified Silla Period.
๐ณ Samyeongdaesa Park ๐ณ

Samyeongdaesa Park, also located near Jikjisa Temple, is a cultural, ecological, and experiential tourist park
built to commemorate the master monk, Sameong Daesa, who raised the Uibyeong (Righteous Army) during the Imjin War.

Here, you take in the beauty of Korea. Opened after 10 years of planning and construction,
the park is quickly becoming a new landmark in Gimcheon.

In Samyeongdaesa Park, there is an experience building where you can experience hanok life.
It has become particularly well known since it was visited by the famous Korean TV presenter Kyung-wan Do and
his two children to participate in โThe Return of Superman,โ a Korean reality TV show.
