Letโs learn more about the DMZ history while visiting and enjoying beautiful placesย
^^
The tour program consists of going to DMZ Observatory - ย Jaein Waterfall -ย
Hanok Cafรฉย - Paju Premium Outlets
ย ๐บDMZ Observatory๐บ
Built on December 3, 1991 by the Typhoon Unit, the Typhoon Observatory is located at the highest
ย Suribong Peak of Biggisan Mountain in Jung-myeon, about 65 kilometers from Seoulย
and 140 kilometers from Pyongyang.

At first, the northern and southern limit lines were set up 2 kilometers from the Militaryย
Demarcation Line, but as North Korea installed barbed-wire fences nearย
the border in 1968, South Korea also partially installed them in 1978.ย
On a visible day, visitors can see North Koreans working in the fields without a telescope.

The Typhoon Observatory is located 800 meters from the Military Demarcation Line (MDL)ย
and 1,600 meters from the North Korean guard post.ย
It is famous for being the closest observatory to North Korea along theย
MDL that stretches over 155 miles.

At the Typhoon Observatory, there is a church, catholic church, statue of theย
Virgin Mary, Buddhist sanctum, and a bell tower where South Korean soldiers can holdย
religious gatherings, as well as many other memorials.ย

๐ปJaein Waterfall๐ป
Hantangang River meandering through Yeoncheon creates picturesque painting-like landscapes in its path.

The beautiful scenery can be attributed to the topography formed by hardened lavaย
which erupted around 270,000 years ago.

There is a legend behind Jaein Falls. A long time ago, a magistrate of this town becameย
attracted to a beautiful wife of a tightrope-walking acrobat, Jaein in Korean, and orderedย
the acrobat to walk on a tightrope above the falls.ย
The magistrate cut the rope in the middle of the show, causing the death of the acrobat,ย
and tried to take the acrobatโs wife with him, which led the woman to commit suicide.

Since then, the falls has been called Jaein Falls which, people thought, harbors the sad,ย
resentful spirit of Jaein. A sad love storyโฆ

you will see wide crock pots on either side.

๐ Paju Outlet ๐
Gyeonggi-do is famous for its nature, but did you know that it's also famous for large outlets? ๐
Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets is a shopping tourism landmark in the northern Gyeonggi-do area,ย
offering various brands, performances, and convenience facilities under one room.ย

The outlet is designed in the style of a downtown shopping district from an American city inย
the 1920s and 30s, with a fountain plaza and clock tower.

There are photo zones located all over the outlet, and the outlet hosts participationย
events like fashion shows and flea markets throughout the year.ย
The largest draw to the outlet is the vast number of famous international brand shops.

a merry-go-round, mini train, and more.ย
