Roads that connects the abandoned mine areas of Yeongwol, Jeongseon, Taebaek, and Samcheok
Untan Godo has an average of a 546m altitude and 173.2km of length. It starts at Cheongnyeongpo in Yeongwol and ends at Wishing Tower in Samcheok. Anyone of any age may comfortably walk on the coal vehicle road including Manhangjae Pass in Jeongseon having the highest altitude of 1,330m where you may see traces of mines that led the renaissance of Korea once upon a time.

Course 4, from Jeongseon Yemi Station to Hwajeollyeong Hill (Flower Cutting Pass)
The road to seek for the future buried in the past 

The course keeps the history of so-called “coal transportation” but has as good walking roads as 
being called wonderful tracking course. Especially, visitors may enjoy pleasure of climbing and interest of tracking 
on the road from Time Capsule Park at Saebijae Pass that has “Messy Pine” in the movie “My Sassy Girl” starring 
by Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Tae-hyun on the top to Flower Cutting Pass at Hwajeollyeong Hill through Duwibong Peak


Course 5, from Jeongseon Hwajeollyeong Hill to Hambaeksan Mt. Small Park (Manhangjae Pass)
Roads of affectionate love of miners and their wives
It consists of high and distant mountainous roads from Hwajeollyeong Hill to Manhangjae Pass Small Park. 
The story of Salamander Lake at mountainside breaks everyone's heart. 
Salamander Lake contains the heartbreak of wives having miner husbands and the nearby 
1,177 pits were entrances for miners to go into dark mining. It has the roads of affectionate love of miners and their wives. 


Course 6, from Hambaeksan Mt. Small Park to The Memorial Tower for Industrial Warriors
Roads having exciting scenery and rustic beauty
Visitors may enjoy four seasons of Hambaeksan Mt. Spring flowers blooming shyly, 

cool summer, tunnels of autumn leaves, and white snow scene appear like a panorama. 
Huge cloud sea and wrinkles of mountains over the sea.
The roads have exciting scenery and rustic beauty. When passing birch forest in
 Jijirigol Valley and walking down the mountains, old coal-mining towns that had once prospered appear.
