Mungyeong is full of travel destinations with interesting historical stories. It is a must-see destination for theย
Park Yeol-do Memorial Hall, which highlights Park Yeol, an independence activist from Mungyeong.
Mungyeong City is a tourist area, and in order to promote the excellence of the localย
luxury product โMungyeong Yakdol Korean Beefโ to the country, the city is equippedย
with a meat processing facility with a floor space of 1,224mยฒ.ย
The entrance of the meat facility is Mungyeong Saejae in Jinan-ri,ย
Mungyeong-eup (next to the Ceramic Museum).
The Mungyeong Livestock Industry Cooperative and the 50-year-old Pyeondaejangย
Yeonghwa restaurant were selected as joint operators and founded Mungyeong Yakdol Korean Beef Town.
๐ก Andong Hahoe Village ๐ก
Hahoe Village is one of the most famous folk villages in South Korea. Surrounded by the Nakdonggang River,ย
the village is home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan who still make up 70% of the villagers.ย
The village became even more famous after Queen Elizabeth of England visited on April 21, 1999,ย
and U.S. President George H. Bush in 2005.
The village has many national treasures and important cultural materials, such as Hahoe Masks,ย
earning the village the designation of National Folklore Cultural Heritage in 1984.
๐ญ Andong Mask Dance Festivalย ๐ญ
The Andong Mask Dance Festival, or ์๋๊ตญ์ ํ์ถค์ถ์ , is a ten-day celebration of traditional Koreanย
culture and arts that takes place annually in Andong, a city in the southeastern region of South Korea.ย
There you can experienced vibrant and colorful performances.
"Tal" is the Korean word for "mask." For ancient Koreans, the tal was a sacred symbol of the gods.
Talchum originated in Korean villages as part of shamanic rituals.ย
It then became a form of popular entertainment, and was even performed in the royalย
court during the Goryeo period.
This year will be 2023.10.02~2023.10.09
