Course 10, It takes 5 hours for Simstefano-gil
In Wonju and Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, there were no Catholic sanctuaries during the Byeongin Persecution in the late
Joseon Dynasty. Then, while exploring this path, in the village of Golau, where this road passes, a Catholic named Simstefano
was captured and martyred by a grape-cheong-po-jol dispatched from Seoul, not a local government.
The Baugil Expedition called the village Simstefano and named it Simstefano-gil.
It is the path of a pilgrim's heart in honor of a martyr. 5c8f07cfbbe2f.jpgda63f0cf0d5b3.jpgc7a606d675140.jpg1740f9d563028.jpg
